Christian Ziach is a senior investment manager with the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Europe’s most active early stage investment firm with 892.5 Mio € under management and a track record of more than 600 financed companies. Prior to joining the HTGF, Christian held a senior engineering position at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where he was responsible for the design and development of MASCOT, an asteroid lander jointly developed by DLR and the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) for the Hayabusa2 mission of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Christian is eager to build a sustainable space economy, is advising DLR and ESA on various topics and is a start-up mentor for the ESA Business Incubators Centres. He holds master's level degrees in aerospace engineering from the Federal Armed Forces University Munich and in business and economic sciences from the University of Hagen.
