After studying business at the TUBerlin, Sonja worked for several years as an SME consultant at Investitionsbank Berlin and as a research assistant at the University of Mannheim, before finally joining the City of Mannheim's Economic Development Department. Over 15 years she set up and expanded the start-up ecosystem in Mannheim.
